How to request a correction
Use the Contact page, select Correction request, and include the article URL, the statement you believe is inaccurate, your proposed correction and a reliable supporting source.
What happens next
- We review the claim against the available evidence.
- If a material factual error is confirmed, we update the article.
- Substantive corrections may be noted within the article with the date and nature of the change.
- Minor spelling, grammar, formatting or style fixes may be made without a correction note when they do not change meaning.
- Updates that add later developments may be identified as updates rather than corrections.
What we generally do not remove
We do not normally remove accurate, lawfully published material merely because it is inconvenient or unfavorable. Requests involving privacy, safety, legal obligations or exceptional circumstances are considered individually.
